We often talk about the corporate world being a jungle. We use animal terminology to infer business characteristics – be fierce like a tiger, strong like a lion..and now a restaurant at the heart of Dubai’s Financial district is bringing a touch of the flora and fauna to the sleek urban district.
Peyote Dubai, the fine-dining modern Mexican restaurant is now offering a jungle-themed Friday brunch, starting on October 20. 12:30pm until 4:00pm.
In case you don’t know, according to acclaimed Executive Chef Eduardo Garcia, Peyote is a melting pot of ancient Mexican culinary knowledge and modern innovation. Peyote Dubai’s exquisite interiors were created by pioneering Mexican architect, Javier Sordo Madaleno Bringas of ‘SMA’ fame, one of the most sought after architectural companies in Mexico.
The brunch experience unfolds in a fun mix of sharing dishes and à la carte options allowing guests to be social, as friends and family mingle and catch-up. The striking bar has been expanded to accommodate a large varied selection of ceviche, tostadas, ensaladas and stuffed chille for starters.
More appetisers, in the form of guacamole, salsa, and calamares are also presented on your table.
A taco counter offers chicken pastor, Lamb barbacoa, quesadillas, tamales, esquites, and tortilla soup, which sounds like there should be a dish for everyone.
The culinary feast continues at the table with a mouth watering choice of main courses from the à la carte menu, including grilled chicken, steak, Chilean sea bass, and avocado tempura.
Desserts on offer include banana chocolate tarte, churros, and Mexican corn bread. The brunch also offers a kid’s menu, with food they’ll love, such as scrambled egg and cheese quesadilla, Mexican rice and beef and cheese fries.
Expect lively music from the resident DJ and drummers, as well as face painting, but don’t expect any actual peyote.
“We are very excited to launch our first brunch at Peyote Dubai. This menu will allow guests to enjoy a variety of Peyote dishes, and we believe it offers a perfect selection of the sensational modern Mexican cuisine that Peyote has to offer. The true spirit of Mexican culture can be experienced at this lively, fun, decadent brunch.” says Alexander Stumpf, Group Executive Chef of Peyote Dubai.
Sounds great – but we hope there is loud drumming and perhaps some animal calls, as we struggle to find Peyote, buried deep in the concrete jungle of DIFC. It might just be a good idea to take a compass and sturdy boots with you when attending this brunch…
