Ragag

A traditional Emirati thin and crispy pancake, often served at roadside cafes. A mix of flour, egg and water, ragag is best served with cream cheese, egg, hot sauce and fish sauce. Alternatively, layers of this extremely thin and crispy bread are piled up and layered with meat and vegetables, making a dish called tharid or thareed, popular during Ramadan, and said to be the Prophet Muhammad’s favourite dish.
