Madinat Jumeirah’s Perry and Blackwelder’s is updating its southern US menu – with some more local twists and a few surprises.
“We’re already famous for our chicken wings and our burgers are the heartiest in town, and now we’ve created some exciting new dishes that aren’t all what they seem,” said a spokesman.
The new menu includes loaded chicken shawarma sliders – their take on a traditional Arabic staple – succulent chicken skewers sandwiched between fluffy brioche buns, crammed with gherkin slaw and slathered in garlic sauce. Served with a side of crispy falafel cubes and pickled chillies, itsounds delicious.
There’s also a new surf ‘n’ turf burger, which promises not to disappoint. A homemade 250gm USDA Prime beef burger is paired with fresh, juicy shrimps, coleslaw, Portobello mushrooms, beef bacon, cheddar cheese, blue cheese and P&B’s special BBQ sauce. Phew.
There’s also two new desserts for you to tuck into – orange chocolate cookie with orange chocolate ice-cream, and the all new ‘sweet dog’, which isn’t what it seems.
While it may look like a traditional American hotdog complete with ketchup and mustard, don’t be fooled – it’s actually custard and ice cream served in a sponge cake bun, glazed with salted caramel, mango & raspberry sauce.
