While it seems the world is going vegetarian and vegan, Bystro, the Dubai and Sharjah-based family-friendly restaurant and pastry house is taking its offerings beyond mushroom risotto and leafy salads.
Bystro’s menu now features a separate plant-based section for vegetarian diners. Inspired by a clientele that enjoys wholesome food, its vegetarian dishes are loaded with indulgent flavours, premium ingredients, and vibrant recipes.
In addition to sweet breakfast options, the menu boasts eight scrumptious savoury dishes, some of which can be made vegan on request. These include shakshuka, portobello toast, avocado on toast, garden breakfast bowl, Colombian cheese arepas, Bystro’s famous Turkish eggs, a breakfast fry-up served with customised organic eggs and Portobello mushroom and kale platter with falafel and muhammara.
“As a family-friendly restaurant, we strive to cater to a variety of preferences. We want everyone from die-hard carnivores to passionate vegans to feel fed and pampered,” says Josh Benson, founder of the Bystro Group of Restaurants.
With Dubai’s foodie population increasingly shifting towards plant-powered food, Bystro aims to add a comfort element to its vegetarian dishes by serving up generous portions with a side of warm service.
Located in Al Manara in Dubai and Mleiha in Sharjah, Bystro is your go-to destination for happiness on a plate.
Parents can unwind over a coffee while the little ones get busy in the kid’s corner. More than just a restaurant, Bystro is a second home for much of the local community and laptop warriors alike. Its outlets are in Dubai’s Al Manara area and Sharjah’s Mleiha archaeological site with another to come in Souk Al Jubail on the Sharjah waterfront later this year.
